I think of you every morning,
Kind Mother, Queen of Heaven!
To you I entrust all my cares,
All that I have, all that I am.
I think of you when I look upward,
When my gaze rises toward heaven,
You, the star in whom I firmly trust,
Even when dark night surrounds me.
Oh, how I feel such sweet joys
In my heart when it remembers you!
You, who in every suffering of earth
Grant sweet comfort and heavenly refreshment,
You, to whom I so often flee as a child,
Let me feel your gentle power,
You who, wherever I go and stand,
Watch protectively over my salvation.
Of you I will always be mindful,
And lovingly devoted to you,
I will give my whole heart to you as an offering,
And consecrate it faithfully to duty and virtue.
Yes, I will walk in your footsteps,
Striving always for what is right and just,
And, like you, seek only to act rightly,
Until one day my eyes close in death.
And then you will not leave me either,
There, with Jesus, your dear Son;
And He will graciously grant me
The crown of the righteous who are victorious.
He will take me into the kingdom of joy,
Where I shall see Him eternally,
And, freed from all evil,
Blessed, stand before His throne. Amen.
